Other comments after the show included ‘wonderful’, ‘fantastic’, ‘top show’, and, perhaps most importantly, ‘it’s what we have come to expect’.
‘Willows’ will officially open on Friday with matinees on Saturday and Sunday. A further 11 performances will follow. The production will close on Saturday, December 12.
‘Willows’ is directed and designed by Sam Lloyd, well known for her sumptuous costumes, lavish sets and creative lighting. Audiences will remember her ‘Christmas Carol’, ‘Woman in Black’ and ‘Wizard of Oz’.
Sam says that ‘Willows’ is ‘a classic tale of friendship, love, jealousy and humour. Although written in 1908 its message is still relevant today, the story that is ... only the wind - in the willows.
Join in the wonderful adventures of the four chums, Mole, Rat, Badger and Toad and their friends and adversaries as they wend their way along the riverbank and through the countryside, and venture into the wild woods.
