I believe the shopkeeper to be the victim in this story, because of the undue haste to go to print from the “pressure from social media”.
Perhaps “social media” should be called “cowards’ media”, because of its propensity to vilify and drag down anyone that it can, without having to put a name to it.
Perhaps the Bay Post might be better served printing both sides of the story on the same page, and not be pressured by the cowards’ media into premature publication.
