Weighing in at a little more than 16 kilograms, the great mulloway topped off a stellar week for Hicks who bagged out on the most species at Tomakin’s May competition.
Hicks’ association with the club began as a junior angler and he seldom misses a competition since he became a senior.
He is also one of the club’s great regular performers in the rock, beach and estuary division.
Preparations are also underway for the club’s once a year mighty bonanza two-day competition on the long weekend in October.
The prizes are bound to exceed last year’s effort and all senior anglers’ prizes will be cash.
So until the next bit of fishing news keep those rods held high and those lines tight.
Good fishing.
