AN icy south-wester greeted the Broulee Runners on Wednesday afternoon.

There were 55 starters, three new runners and 12 personal best times were recorded.
The most notable best times were by Jake Walker-Tully, Lily Van Weerdenburg, Dylan Holmes and Karen Motyka, who all took more than a minute off times from previous runs.
Organiser Deb Connaughton said the mother-and-son duo of Michelle and Saul Dolphin tackled the longest distance of 5km for the first time.
“They both completed the event in a very respectable time,” Connaughton said.
“Good luck to some of our younger runners heading to Canberra for the upcoming southern school cross country.”
The Broulee Runners is free to join and welcomes entrants of all fitness levels and ages.
The group meets at the Mossy Point lookout at 4.30pm each Wednesday.
