TALENTED Brandon McClelland was humbled at the announcement that saw him nominated for a 2015 TV Week Logie Award.
Mr McClelland has been nominated for the Graham Kennedy Award For Most Outstanding Newcomer for his role in ABC mini series Anzac Girls.
He starred in four episodes as Australian Army officer Pat Dooley.
Mr McClelland said it was quite a “surreal experience”.
“(It is) unexpected, but wonderful,” he said.
“I was stunned, I probably blacked out for a second.”
If he is announced as the winner on May 3, Mr McClelland said he would celebrate with a “couple of cheeky beers”.
“Not too many though,” he said.
“I've got a show on the next day.”
He said performing in the Sydney Theatre Companies production of Suddenly Last Summer was “absolutely incredible”.
“It's the biggest theatre I've ever performed in and the show was really well received by critics and audiences alike,” Mr McClelland said.
“We had a completely sold out season.
“Getting to perform alongside actors like Robyn Nevin and Eryn Jean Norvill is a dream.
“Also, when the Sydney Opera House is your office for a couple of months you can't complain.”
Mr McClelland is currently rehearsing with the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) on Ross Mueller's new play 'A Town Named Warboy', which is based on the diaries of WW1 ANZAC soldiers.
Mr McClelland visits his mum and younger brother in Batemans Bay whenever he has time off between productions.
When asked where he saw himself in five years, Mr McClelland said “prophecy is a dangerous game”.
Mr McClelland is nominated alongside Harriet Dyer and Miranda Tapsell from Love Child; Silvia Colloca, from Made In Italy and Troy Kinne from Kinne.
Anzac Girls is nominated for most outstanding mini series or telemovie.
