I AM extremely disappointed that my favourite radio announcer, Dave, has been taken off air from his Thursday morning show on the community radio station, 2EAR FM.

His wry sense of humour, his stories and his choice of music were all refreshing and entertaining.
He made me laugh many times, and his down-to-earth, realistic approach to everyday problems in the community was very commendable.
Dave was on air for many years so it is quite a mystery why his sense of humour and style of radio announcing were suddenly considered to be such that the public is now denied the pleasure of his company.
Dave is a Moruya icon.
His loyalty and his love of this area are undeniable and I feel that for the sake of a very few the majority of 2EAR FM listeners are being denied the right to listen to him.
He has helped and encouraged many young musicians and entertainers for years and many have found success as a result.
The few who objected to Dave’s individual style of media presentation had the choice not to tune in.
I for one, who got a lot of enjoyment from his program, no longer listen to 2EAR FM as I feel that this man has been treated in a very shabby, questionable manner.
