The 36-hole scratch and handicap competition will be held over Saturday, December 6, and Sunday, December 7, at Tuross Head and more than $3,000 prize money will be available for winners and runners-up in all grades (A, B and C).
The club’s course is one of the most picturesque courses on the South Coast as it combines views of overlooking Coila Lake and Tasman Sea with shots of the mountains from many tees and greens.
In past years the course has had major renovation work carried out by its dedicated ground staff and volunteers and men’s publicity officer Paul Pereria hoped visitors would turn out for the event.
“Visiting golfers are invited to enjoy the experience of the course,” Pereria said.
Pereria said the men’s golf club praised its major sponsors for ensuring the event would tee off.
It costs $40 for the two-day event or $25 for daily play and the entry fee includes a barbecue lunch on both days.
An 18-ball competition will be held each day with nearest-the-pin prizes up for grabs and entries close on December 5.
