Two of our students were involved in its design and felt very proud to see their contributions in the final plan.
Working with an architect who listened to all their ideas with respect was a highlight of the day.
The Year Three students who attended the mud brick-making day described it as “the best day ever”. In this era of electronic gadgetry, that is certainly an accolade.
Josh Waterson is to be congratulated for his organisation and planning to bring this project to completion.
Liaising with schools and childcare centres, organising open days and at all times exuding enthusiasm is no mean feat.
On December 8 the amazing cubby was officially opened and all I can say is Wow!
The Botanic Gardens already had much to offer but the addition of the children’s play area with its focus on the simple pleasures of making music, climbing, sliding down the hill and now the cubby with its potential for imaginative play make the Gardens one of the main attractions for locals and tourists alike.
