Windy conditions at Hanging Rock gave Griffins the jump on the home team with a 13 point lead at quarter time. Kicking with the breeze in the second the Seahawks were able to score five goals and go into half time four points up.
With the pressure on in the third quarter the Seahawks ever reliable backline stopped all Griffins attacking raids, keeping them goal-less.
In front by nine points for the last quarter, the Seahawks were never going to let the game slip away. Ross Hummel kicked two goals to seal the victory by 16 points.
The Seahawks best players were Karl Dehne and Graham Enright. Ross Hummel scored four goals. The Seahawks will face second placed ADFA/RMC Rams Saturday in Canberra to decide their finals fate.
