McGee made the most of the conditions, taking top qualifier in his division before securing a hat-trick of wins in the heats.
There was an intriguing battle between four racers for the last two spots on the podium, which produced some high-calibre racing.
Second place was eventually won by Douglas D'Amico with Lachlan Collins in third. Daniel McMechan came 4th and Liliana Monte rounded out the top five. The four racers were separated by just four points at the end of the day.
In the 2wd Senior category, Brad Hulm took the spoils with a consistent performance that finished with a win in the third heat.
Peter McMechan challenged all day but a fourth place in the second heat left him a point back in 2nd for the day ahead of Ethan Kelland who won the second heat, before placing 7th in the last heat.
Sean Dean came out on top in the 4wd 1/10th, finishing first in 4wd with two wins and a second.
He finished ahead of Tyrone Baker, who put in a typically consistent performance, and managed to take advantage of a problem for the, Brad Hulm, who had his third head cut short by and unfortunate collapse collapse.
Luckily, His previous results were good enough to hold on for 3rd in class
Dean wrapped up another class win in the 1/8th Open, again winning both 4wd and 1/8th for the second meet in a row. Second was taken by Scott Brighton while Peter McMechan and Brad Hulm ended in a tie for third.
