The Carroll College administrator said she was aware of the perils of too much sitting behind a desk all day.
“I don’t think it is good to be sitting on my backside all day,” Ms Nott said.
To avoid unhealthy sitting, Ms Nott uses a stand-up desk.
“It goes up and down, depending on how I feel. Today I had it down for most of the day; yesterday it was mostly up,” she said.

“I made 8237 steps,” Ms Nott said.
“It’s a little lower than I hoped but I am not surprised: I need to keep moving more. I might buy my own fitbit to challenge myself.”
