Even without the likes of young Kai Woodford and Tyler Chown, the little Sharkies put together a really good display of junior rugby league football in their first hit-out of the year.
Tries were scored by Cameron Paull, Nate Kay, Mitchell Zutt and Ned Spies.
Cody Clarke-Huntley and Charlie Gwynne both had solid games in attack and defence.
Dusty Irving had a great game in his first year of rugby league football and was a livewire on the field.
They even had one of the Bega players more than willing to play alongside the Junior Sharks to play against his own team-mates.
All in all it was great display of junior kids footy. All out there to have a great time with their mates and have fun.
Other results from the day:
Under 10’s went down courageously 30-18.
The Girls’ Junior League Tag ended in a 28-8 score to Bega, but the girls played really well in their first game.
The Under 12’s had a good hit-out but went down 42-0. Coach Justin Zutt wanted give a big thanks to those under 10 players who played up to help out.
The Under 14’s scored a couple of tries but Bega were too good on the day winning 36-12.
And the under 16’s year started a bit rocky, going down 36-4.
The Moruya Tuross Sharks under 12’s, under 16’s & 13-16 years Girls’ League Tag teams are still on the lookout for more players for this season.
