A few nice warm days this week has turned the fish on the bite. 

Bream are moving up the channel along the rockwall in Moruya and a few nice ones have been caught using pillie cubes for bait.

Flathead are starting to move up the system with reports of catches as far up as Yarragee, but the larger ones like Duane Brant's great catch this week have been landed down the front on the sand flats.

Gulp soft plastics in nuclear chicken have been the colour of the week. 

Tuross is starting to fire up also with reports of flathead down the front on the shallow flats. 100 mm Squidgie fish and gulp swimming mullet have both been working well. 

Bream are being caught out the front of the boat shed on baits such as worms and nippers.  Some nice Estuary Perch have also been caught in the same area. 

The oyster leases have been producing bream on a high tide using hardbodied lures like the Jackson Athlete and also on grubtail soft plastics. 

Perch are hitting the surface late of the evening in Tuross river west.  Tiemco soft shell cicadas are really getting them fired up.

Rocks and Beaches 

Good numbers of Crayfish are being caught at the moment in our locally made cray pots.  These  pots are hand made and built to last. 

Reports of drummer off the rocks up and down the coast using Cunji.

Bream and tailor are also coming in off the rocks on peeled prawns and fresh worms. 

Windsock beach still has a nice gutter and it’s fishing well for salmon using pillies and metal slices.

Offshore 

Warmer currents are moving down the coast and the Bluefin shouldn't be too far behind them. 

The Baracoota are still thick offshore and many anglers are opting to use wire trace to avoid bite offs.

Some nice reds are being caught out wide using Instinct performance jigs and squid with several large sharks being hooked as well.

Flathead have been hanging around the 27-30 metre mark this week with the twin hook paternosta rig working a treat.
