Coordinator Greg Curry said all students involved had good attendance and enjoyed the program.
“It was good fun – and the kids hard work was pretty impressive,” he said.
One impressive achievement was creating a working bark canoe from scratch.
Sites the students visited included Gulaga, with Aunty Lynne Thomas, Dithil, or Pigeon House, with Rod Slockee and Yellow Rocks Camp, where the students built their canoe. At Lake Conjola, teacher Paul Carriage showed the students cave art sites.
Fisheries and Campbell Page supported the initiative, which will continue this year.
