The Bay batted first, and were quickly on the front foot thanks to Jordan MacPherson and Matthew Klarica.
The two put on a third-wicket partnership of 78 runs before Klarica departed for 47. MacPherson would go on to make his 50, and wouldn’t be dismissed before amassing an innings of 64.
The tail would wag after the wicket of MacPherson, as the Bay reached 7/168 from their 40 overs.
The chase from Shoalhaven started slowly, as Sean Griffin and Tim Sethi ripped through the top order.
When Alec Cooper fell for 22 off the bowling of Sethi, the home side were struggling at 5/51. It would take a solid innings of 24 from Thomas Wheeler to get the chasers over 100, and they were bowled out for 116.
