The South Coast Health and Sustainability Alliance (SHASA) are coordinating the transaction, with the aim of making renewable energy more accessible.
A not-for-profit community group based in Eurobodalla, SHASA have put their efforts towards researching solar systems for the benefit of the community. Paul Dolphin from SHASA said the organisation wants the Eurobodalla to have low cost quality solar systems.
“We have been actively negotiating a bulk buy discount for quality solar systems at the best price and with the best local installers,” he said.
“It can be hard to navigate the world of solar so we have done all the research to give peace of mind and make sure people get good quality systems from reputable local installers at a discounted price.”
SHASA received funding from NSW Government’s Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) through its Community Renewable Energy program for in-depth research into solar solutions. Anyone wanting participate in the solar bulk buy can go to www.shasa.com.au and fill out the non-binding expression of interest form.
