Eligible seniors and pensioners can apply for a Gold Opal card to access the $2.50 daily cap fares.
The Gold Opal card offers a significant discount and a customer’s eligibility needs to be verified and is not available from retailers such as newsagents or convenience stores.
Although the Opal electronic ticketing system has not been rolled out in the Eurobodalla, those catching a train from Nowra to Sydney will need an Opal card.
The electronic ticketing has been rolled out to Sydney Trains, NSW TrainLink Intercity services, metropolitan and outer metropolitan buses, Sydney Ferries, Sydney Light Rail and Newcastle buses and ferries.
