Cooler temperatures are on their way to the Eurobodalla to give relief to residents and holidaymakers who have endured hot and humid conditions this week.

We will have to wait until Saturday for the temperatures to drop to a comfortable maximum of 25 celsius.

The Bureau of Meteorology says that temperatures in the mid 20s should hang around at least until Tuesday.

The highest temperature we have reached this month is 33.3°C on January 14, and Tuesday hit a high of 32.

While warm, this is nothing like January 18, 2013, when the mercury hit a staggering 45.6 celsius in the Eurobodalla.

Rain is a strong possibility from Friday onwards.

Weatherzone says the relative humidity will range between 66 and 84 per cent between now and Tuesday.
