On Sunday and Monday, the crew undertook ground and search and rescue training.
CEO Stephen Leahy said the crew regularly trained with Monaro police.
“This time of year we have a number of rescues in the mountains,” Mr Leahy said.
“Quiet often we have to winch police into dense bush.”
Mr Leahy said in the summer months, the helicopter crew train with water police and Marine Rescue.
The two-day search and rescue exercise training in the Kosciuszko National Park will give emergency services the chance to hone their skills in the Alpine environment.
The crew is still responding to call outs while undertaking the training.
“We are only 20 minutes fly time from the base,” Mr Leahy said.
