On Saturday, the club faced the Narooma Lions at Gundary Oval.
For the second week in a row the two teams played and the scoreboard reflected little of the steady progress the Giants are making.
More than half the team was comprised of under 11s player and the Giants’ defence worked tirelessly to slow the Lions’ goal tally.
The Giants were joined by a few skilled Seahawks and Kobi Tuan impressed with his skills and determined attitude.
Luke and Jake Brogan and Chris Innocenti worked well in defence to slow Narooma.
Newcomer Thomas Whitaker was harassing his foes, using his speed and endurance and Callum Elliott pursued and tackled relentlessly.
The Giants’ Ryley Spoelder-Hanlon was assisted by Billy Williams in the ruck and the pair gave their side a chance at first use of the ball with their taps.
Lucy Jones and Felix Stone earned encouragement awards for their great efforts to help slow the steady flow of Lion goals and Benjamin Risk bagged the Giants’ lone goal in the first quarter.
