The Boars’ Cory Maddison set a new club record of seven tries and was awarded the Peter White Medal by the Grande Olde Boars for his man of the match performance.
The Boars scored 14 tries total while Bay Red crossed three times.
Boars coach Matt Ryan said the margin was unexpected.
“It didn’t feel as though there were that many points in it,” Ryan said.
“We now have some game time under our legs.
“The Reds didn’t lay down for us; there was still a lot of football played.”
Next weekend is a general bye for each team for Anzac Day and the Boars’ next match will be at Braidwood against the Reedbacks on May 2 in Braidwood.
“We’ll just move forward with what we are doing (at training) and we’ll come up against a Braidwood team that’s had some good hit outs under their belts,” he said.
Ryan said the Batemans Bay Rugby Union Club was open to more players.
“Thirty players between both teams can be improved and there is plenty of football to be played by anyone interested,” he said.
In other results Milton held Braidwood scoreless and won 24-nil, Jindabyne beat Boorowa 40-7 and Crookwell beat Taralga 20-14.
Bungendore and Broulee had a bye.
