A 23-year-old Kiama woman, who had been camping at South Durras the previous night, was driving north on the highway about 9am when she braked but lost control on a bend in the wet conditions.
A Highway Patrol spokeswoman said the vehicle rolled “a few times” and ended up on its roof.
Other than a small scratch on her thumb, the woman was unhurt.
A friend and doctor, who had also been camping at South Durras, later came across the accident.
The doctor rendered assistance before police arrived.
About 20 minutes, later a group of three cars travelling north arrived at the scene.
The leading driver, a Victorian woman travelling with four children, braked, which led to her daughter, who was driving in the following vehicle, to do the same.
The third vehicle hit the daughter’s vehicle.
Both vehicles were damaged, but no-one was hurt.
The Victorians had stayed in Batemans Bay the night before and were on their way to Queensland.
