There has been plenty of money flung around in this week of the campaign, starting off with a big ticket item at Batemans Bay - the duplication of the Batemans Bay Bridge.

NSW Treasurer and sitting member Andrew Constance dropped the $110 million bombshell at his campaign launch in Batemans Bay.
While the announcement has been well-received by the Batemans Bay business community, it's copped some flak on social media.
Meanwhile, Bega Labor candidate Leanne Atkinson says she is not against the plan to duplicate Batemans Bay Bridge, but rather the way it is being financed.
Half the money is to come from the state’s roads program budget and half from the Rebuild NSW funds, to be raised by leasing Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy, the so-called “poles and wires” sale.
“I feel we are being held to ransom,” she said. “It is like they are saying, ‘if you want this bridge, then you have to support the poles and wires’."
Sunday's protest against Unity Mining’s proposal to use cyanide at Majors Creek also served as the campaign launch for Bega Greens candidate, Margaret Perger.
Eurobodalla Greens councillor Gabi Harding was MC and several other Greens representatives gave speeches at the event, including Greens NSW MLC Mehreen Faruqi, Greens candidate for Monaro Peter Marshall, Greens senate candidate Justin Field and Ms Perger.
The Greens have announced they will introduce legislation in the new parliament to ban single-use plastic bags in New South Wales, which lags behind other states that have already adopted this measure to reduce the environmental damage caused by plastic.
Greens Candidate for Bega, Margaret Perger said she is pleased the Greens are taking action to finally put a stop to this environmental catastrophe.
“The Bega Valley Shire Council has already unanimously voted in principle to ban single use plastic bags and quite some years ago the tourist Village of Mogo successfully banned them,” she said.
As to what the candidates have been up to...it seems we are a secretive bunch in the seat of Bega. While candidates in neighbouring seats seem happy to tell the punters where they will be and what they are up to the following week, our candidates are staying mum - perhaps they're worried they will be mobbed by eager voters? Stay tuned to see if they are more forthcoming next week.
But you can't silence social media, and there's been plenty of chat on Twitter and Facebook - hashtag your comments #begavotes to be part of the conversation.
