The program will run each Friday from 5.30pm to 6.30pm for 12 weeks until June 26, excluding the school holidays.
The twilight games are for children aged four to 11.
It costs $45 to register and it can be done by emailing southcoastjru@gmail.com or at the first night at Hanging Rock.
Organiser Ronnie Collier said the format was a great way to introduce children to rugby.
“Each session commences with skills training, conducted by qualified rugby coaches and concludes with a game incorporating mini and walla rugby formats,” Collier said.
The players use smaller footballs and playing areas and all games for under 7s and younger are non-tackle.
“Twilight mini rugby has been running now for many years and the same excited faces returning each year means that the program must be a success,” he said.
The canteen will be open and all players get a free sausage sandwich.
“These can also be purchased by the spectators so dinner for the family can be taken care of at the same time,” he said.
Information can be obtained by South Coast Junior Rugby Union’s email, or by phoning Collier on 0408 247 644 or Karyn Starmer on 0427 522 227.
