Bomaderry resumed at 4/95 on the second day with a 68-run lead.

The Bay struck early, with the scores unchanged, when Marc Stiller trapped John Muggleton (1) leg before wicket.

Fellow batsman Tom Walters (31) couldn’t add to his score either and was caught by Paul Gallen off Ryan Chamberlain the following over with the score 6/96.

Bomaderry’s Nick Jennings and Blake Munilla steadied their side and put on a 90-run stand.

Jennings’ innings included three sixes but his big hitting was his downfall.

He was caught four runs before his half-century by Matt Sethi off Andrew Malcolm.

Munilla was 56 not out when Bomaderry declared at 7/220 from 64 overs.

Malcolm finished with 3/51 from four overs and Paul Britt, Chamberlain and Stiller were the Bay’s other wicket-takers.

The Bay’s second innings got off to a shaky start when captain Gav Ladmore (3) was bowled by Bomaderry’s first inning’s dynamo, Jordan Matthews.

Paul Gallen (32) and Matt Sethi (43) made sure the team had batsmen in double figures as they put together a 39-run stand before Gallen was bowled by Matthew Bell.

Mick Smart went out for his first innings of the season and it was short-lived.

Bell dismissed him leg before wicket for no score.

Malcolm (0) and Chamberlain (1) followed in quick succession and the Bay was reeling at 5/49.

Stiller (24) and Sethi were able to take the sting out of Bomaderry’s attack but after hitting two fours and a six, Stiller was caught by Bell off Zac Blattner.

Luke Condon became Blattner’s second victim shortly afterwards when he was caught and bowled.

Batemans Bay was 7/87, 106 runs short of making Bomaderry bat again.

Paul Brown and Sethi put on a 30-run stand but, on 117, Sethi was caught seven runs short of his half century.

Brown (18) dug deep to reach double figures but couldn’t hold out.

John Boller (4) fell soon after as the Bay was all out for 133 from 43.5 overs.
