In one of the more gut-wrenching episodes of the 16-hour siege in Sydney's Martin Place this week, four female hostages took turns to speak to a camera and articulate the grand delusions of their captor, Man Haron Monis. "This is a message for Tony Abbott," said Julie Taylor, a 35-year-old barrister pregnant with her first child.
