Australian veterans Mike Harwood and Roger Davis were among a 58-person field, including international visitors Krishna Singh from Fiji and Davitt Lavery of New Zealand.
Elliott Booth had a great first round and broke his age, 72, to shoot a one under par round of 71 to be equal leader with Chris Fox.
South Coast professional Chris Hearn of Bermagui was one shot back in third place after shooting an even par round of 72, and with four players only one shot behind, the final round was set up for an interesting finish.
On day two, Krishna Singh started well, hitting five under par on the front nine, including a hole-in-one on the seventh hole.
Tim Elliott, who has played on the European Seniors Tour for the past two years, turned in a great final round to win the 36-hole event with a one under par total of 143.
John Kirchner was the runner-up with a one over par total of 145, Singh and David Merriman tied for third with three over par and Booth was fifth with four over par.
Booth was the winner of the Super Seniors event.
On Wednesday, six PGA Legends ran a clinic for the Catalina’s cadet and junior golfers.
“Thanks to Michael Patterson, Andy Rogers, Tim Elliott, Brian Wearne, Chris West and former Catalina professional Mike Zilko for their time,” Catalina junior promotions officer Jason Finn said.
