Some teams have qualified for the semi-finals while others have one last chance to steal a spot.
On Thursday, in division one Tomakin 2 defeated Tomakin 1 5/37 to 3/33, Narooma 1 defeated Narooma 2 7/46 to 1/26 and Bay Rockets defeated Moruya/Tuross 5/40 to 3/35.
In division two Moruya narrowly beat Bay Beatles 4/36 to 4/33, Broulee defeated Bay Breakers 6/48 to 2/23 and Tomakin made light work of Bay Breeze 8/51 to 0/34.
Thursday ladies’ publicity officer Tricia Wheeler said the score line in the Tomakin v Bay Breeze match did not reflect the quality of tennis.
“It was a terrific day of enjoyable tennis, with three tie-break sets, however the combination of Deb Coleman and Carol Purdie was just too strong on the day,” Wheeler said.
In division three Tuross defeated Bay Dolphins 7/46 to 1/16, Moruya defeated Tomakin 6/45 to 2/28 and Dalmeny had a bye.
Progressive scores, October 23:
Division one: Bay Rockets 99, Tomakin 1 86, Tomakin 2 73, Moruya/Tuross 71.5, Narooma 1 48.5 and Narooma 2 42.
Division two: Broulee 94, Moruya 79, Bay Beatles 69, Tomakin 67, Bay Breeze 56 and Bay Breakers 55.
Division three: Tomakin 3 69.5, Tuross 61, Moruya 56, Dalmeny 2 49.5 and Bay Dolphins 37.5.
The semi-finals and finals schedule is on the EDTA website and the grand final will be held at Batemans Bay.
On grand final day there will be a barbecue lunch with salad for $5 and morning tea will be available with a gold coin donation.
The Thursday ladies’ end of year presentation is set for Thursday, December 4 at the Bay Waters Resort.
Tickets are $25 and will available at all matches up to and including the grand final.
