Grinspoon bad boy Phil Jamieson promises he has "no intention of becoming a children's entertainer," but he was jealous enough of recent kids' festival appearances by his 90s rock peers Regurgitator, Clouds and Frenzal Rhomb to have his own crack at favourites from Frozen and The Lego Movie. He says Woodenspoon will also play a few appropriate Grinners selections at PlayFest, billed as "Melbourne's first Big Day Out for little people", at Sidney Myer Music Bowl on November 21 and 22. Other rockin' kids' combos scheduled to appear include the WooHoo Revue, Yo Gabba Gabba, the Mudcakes, the Rrrrrockets and the Mighty buZZniks. playfest.com.au
