An independent consultant presented a draft concept plan to the committee at its second meeting on Tuesday.
Committee chairman, Eurobodalla Shire Mayor Lindsay Brown, said the meeting covered lots of ground.
“We discussed the concept plan, calendar of events, likely potential users, opportunities for users other than the equine industry and location of possible camping,” Cr Brown said.
“It went very well.
“There are a number of variables and options to consider before we allocate a final budget,” he said.
He said the plan was on track to meet its October deadline.
“The concept plan was rendered by the size and land available, which created some challenges,” Cr Brown said.
“We are confident with the deadline and have spoken to (Bega MP) Andrew Constance, who is comfortable with where we are going.
“We are not going to present anything without doing as much research as we possibly can.”
