Run by Eurobodalla Shire Council and the South East Resource Recovery Group, the prize encourages artists to create works using reclaimed materials.
The winning entry receives $4000 and there is also a $500 People’s Choice Award.
Entries are now open to artists living in the Bega Valley, Bombala, Boorowa, Cooma Monaro, Eurobodalla, Goulburn Mulwaree, Harden, Palerang, Queanbeyan, Snowy River, Upper Lachlan, Yass and Young shires.
All entries must primarily use materials that have been recycled or reclaimed from the waste stream but there are no other limitations.
ReVive Art Prize entries close on Friday, October 10. Guidelines and entry forms are available on Eurobodalla Shire Council’s website www.esc.nsw.gov.au or by contacting Monika McInerney, on 4474 1061 or monika.mcinerney@eurocoast.nsw.gov.au.
The 2014 ReVive winner will be announced during the opening night of the finalists’ exhibition at the Mechanics Institute in Moruya on Friday, November 6, at 6pm.
The exhibition will run until Friday, November 14.
