Recreational divers located the wreckage of the plane on Saturday, July 6.
The Far South Coast Local Area Command, Roads and Maritime Services, Water Police and Police Divers worked together the salvage the wreckage of the plane, which was found in water 20 metres deep.
The plane was loaded from the boat onto the back of a truck in pieces.
The body of missing Mossy Point man Ralph Buchanan was also recovered and brought to shore on Monday in a separate boat from the plane.
Recreational Aviation Australia will now examine the construction of the home-built plane.
