In a coup for the Eurobodalla District Show, organiser Kylie Green said the zone three final would be held in Moruya in 2015.
“We are very pleased,” she said.
“We have 28 show societies in our zone, so we could get more than 150 people at our dinner. It is a good thing for the Eurobodalla.”
Chief judge Victoria Carter judged the event with Ray Brown and Karen Scott and said it was a tough call.
She said Brittany Jones was chosen from a strong field of five finalists, including runner up Kelly Hull, Amy Flay, Tara Masterson and Maree Knight.
“They were all very different and all had a lot to offer, which made the judging harder,” she said.
“I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was very challenging.
“You do need to know they have a genuine interest in agricultural matters and all five had that.
“They were all deeply involved in their community and wanted to either continue or increase their involvement. They all wanted to give back to their communities.”
Ms Carter said it was not a beauty contest, but “you do need to take into account their presentation”.
