This time the Bombala Bluetongues were the unlucky recipients as the Dolphins ran riot in an 87-7 thrashing.
Winger Justin Austin caused the Bluetongues constant headaches and posted four tries, one of which was a contender for try of the season.
Austin took possession out wide and chip kicked for himself twice before scooping up the ball and weaving his way over the try line.
“You’d pay money to see that,” Dolphins coach Ron Rae said of Austin’s effort.
“I haven’t seen something like that for a long time.”
Pat McMahon (two), Josh Stewart (two), Calvin Rogers, Bryan Netzler, PJ Cullen and Bronson Horvarth were Broulee’s other try scorers.
McMahon slotted 11 goals and the Dolphins were also awarded a late penalty try to add some gloss to the score line.
The result ensured Bombala’s Jekyll and Hyde season continued after it beat the Narooma Whales by 93-7 the week before.
With that in mind before the game, Rae said his players expected it to be much closer.
However, everything the Dolphins touched turned to points and it seems Rae’s players are hitting their straps at the right time.
“We were expecting, after their match the week before (against Narooma), a pretty tough match,” Rae said.
“And it’s not that it wasn’t tough, but it’s just that everything we tried to do came off.”
