A Highway Patrol vehicle was patrolling the Princes Highway north of Bodalla when they spotted the motorcyclist speeding at about 3.30pm on Friday.
Batemans Bay’s Inspector Toby Lindsay said the motorcyclist was “well in excess of the speed limit”.
Officers started a pursuit to try and stop the bike, but called it off a short time later.
The Bay Post/Moruya Examiner also understands the motorcyclist was overtaking on double white lines.
The motorcyclist still hasn’t been identified and police are investigating.
Anyone with information is urged to call Batemans Bay Police Station on 4472 0099 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
