Under 10s - Easts 25 def Dolphins 24
“The boys took to the field full of confidence after starting off their season with two wins, but Easts’ two early tries showed the boys that this was not going to be easy,” coach Terry Rankin said. Strong team work led to tries being scored by Dolphins’ Rory Curtis, Tyler Bundy(two) and Jack Colovatti with Rory Curtis successfully converting two of the tries.
Captain Jacob Fitzgerald led the strong defensive line and was backed up by Anthony Patyus, Brendan Barnes and Sean Smith. It proved to be impenetrable for the majority of the game with the only tries scored by Easts in the first and last five minutes of the game.

“This win was produced from an overall team effort,” justifiably elated coach Peter Facchini said after the game.
“Pat Harris, Yannick Halemai, Kev O’Kelly, Pete Wheatley, Ollie Miller, captain Alex Law, Kingsley Rose and Jacob Sharp all knew the job at hand.”
“Rhodes Lea and Jacob Cooke provided the connection from the engine room to backs Jason Brown, Sam Facchini, Zac Morris, Brett Tinsley, Brock Peters and fullback Zac Wetzell.
Under 12s Black (division one) Dolphins 17 d Canberra Grammar - 0
The Dolphins Black team turned up with fierce determination to win.
The Dolphins forwards worked as a unit to pin the Grammar boys on their line for an extended period. Pick and drive was a feature of the play with James Bundy and Ford Ferguson standout performers. Robbie Hogg crashed over for a well-deserved try. Some nimble footwork lead to a second try by Patrick McCallum as the Dolphins went to the break with a 12-nil lead. The Dolphins held their nerve and their hard work was rewarded as captain Justin Loutitt found the line. Oscar Starmer continues to impress at the breakdown and Black Division debutant Jacob Sharp proved he has what it takes.
Under 15 (division one) Grammar 19 d Dolphins 17
An improved performance was still not enough to take the points against a strong Grammar outfit in a match in which the lead changed four times.
The Dolphins led 12-5 early in the second half, but a strong finish by Grammar put them 19 - 12 ahead in the closing minutes of the game. A try by Justin Bell-Chambers on full-time by the Dolphins closed it to 19-17 but the conversion slid past the upright.
In the fourth and last gala day of home matches until the second half of the season, The Broulee Dolphins host Vikings in under 10 (division two) and under 12 (division one), and Uni-Norths Under 15 (division one) in round four at Captain Oldrey Park tomorrow.
