CEO Leanne Taylor said the program would enable people who cannot rescue and care for wildlife directly to support the cause from the comfort of their own home or workplace.
“By sharing content online, through social media platforms and networks, we can spread the word about the essential role that WIRES plays in the community to help educate people about better caring for our wildlife,” Ms Taylor said.
Ambassadors will join the 2500 plus volunteers and active rescuers and carers across 27 branches around the state.
Applicants who have skills, or want to develop skills, in writing, interviewing, online marketing, photography or film making are encouraged.
