After a delicious meal our guest speaker, Myf Thompson, from the Batemans Bay Historical Society, was introduced by President Julie Teer.
Myf got everyone involved by giving us an item that we had to relate a story about. Some of the items included a pair of butter pats, a corset, an old chocolate box, a Toni hair perm and a 78 record and needles.
It was fun having everyone identify with an item and giving us details of the memories that the item had helped to recall. Three members also celebrated their birthday on the night.
The next meeting on Wednesday, October 11, at 7pm at the Catalina Country Club, will be our 40th birthday celebration. The dinner meeting will cost $33 for dinner and entertainment. The entertainment will be by Steve Johnston.
There will be a mini monster raffle on the night. The colour theme for the night is purple and green (VIEW colours). We would like to invite past members and their partners and other interested persons to join our present members for a night of celebration. It would be wonderful to hear stories from past members.
Bookings are essential. Contact Julie on 0408 215 553
