Seventy-six members attended the September meeting of Tollgates Probus Club, Batemans Bay, and three new members, Ruth Wisbey, Lee Marks and Sue Rooke, were inducted, bringing the club membership to 115.

The monthly gold star for membership excellence (it's better than a Brownlow) was a dual award to the Club's ever happy and very popular purveyors of raffle tickets - Vicki Robinson and Carl Ellis.
After morning tea Rosemary Patyus told us the fascinating story of her life from Australia, through New Guinea and Namibia and back to Batemans Bay.
Rosemary's husband, Sandor was a refugee after the uprising in Hungary in 1956 and after a long and difficult journey arrived in Australia and later worked in New Guinea where he met Rosemary, who was nursing there.
