Officers from Strike Force Trawler and Strike Force Raptor, with Far South Coast police, searched properties in Congo, Batemans Bay, Surfside and Batehaven targeting, respectively, online child abuse and outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMCGs).
A NSW police spokesperson said a 32-year-old Congo man was arrested in Penrith on Wednesday afternoon and charged with using a carriage service to procure a person under 16.
Police allege the man made sexually explicit remarks and arranged to meet a 14-year-old boy in online conversations with undercover strike force operatives.
Officers searched a Congo house and a hotel room in Penrith and seized a laptop and two mobile phones.
Officers arrested the man in a car park on High Street, Penrith, at about 3.30pm on Wednesday.
He was refused bail to appear in Penrith Local Court yesterday.
Meanwhile, in a separate State Crime Command operation, Strike Force Raptor officers arrested a 60-year-old Surfside man after finding a small hydroponic cannabis setup at a house in Hawks Nest Place.
He was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant and supplying a prohibited drug.
Two plants and 500g of cannabis were seized from the property, police said.
Officers served a Firearm Prohibition Order (FPO) on the man and five others in the Eurobodalla and the Shoalhaven.
