The awards celebrate the best performances by Australian snow sport athletes in the 2021/2022 season.
Guseli said it was a privilege to win the award after a great year of competing.
"I had the best season of my life so far, and I am hoping to keep it going for next season," Guseli said as he accepted the award.
"I'm living out my dreams every day, and being in that Olympic final in Beijing was one of those.
"All I wanted to do was show the world the way I wanted to snowboard and I was happy that I was able to do that.
"I just want to go as big as I can, and try and be as smooth as I can."
The award tops off a fantastic season for Guseli which saw the 17-year-old finish sixth at the Beijing Winter Olympics in the snowboard halfpipe final and two podium finishes in the slopestyle World Cup in Georgia and Switzerland.
It is just Guseli's second season competing in the FIS World Cup circuit.

Unusual for most snowboarders, Guseli competes in both halfpipe and slopestyle.
"I want to show that snowboarding is do-able in more than one discipline," he said.
The Snow Australia prepared package that played as Guseli's award was announced celebrated his "prodigious talent on display all around the world" throughout the 2021/2022 season.
"He is a star on the rise," the package said.
Olympic champion Jakara Anthony and Paralympic bronze medalist Ben Tudhope won the 2022 Snow Australia Athlete of the Year Awards.
What is next for the snowboarding star?
"I am just going to keep shredding," Guseli said.
