Yes, the press pack was there, a lot of familiar faces that we are more used to seeing on our news screens each night, than in person.
They had all flown in on the same plane to HMAS Albatross and were transported around by a local bus company.
Joined by Gilmore MP Fiona Phillips and Shadow Minister for Industrial Relations Tony Burke, Mr Albanese had a quick tour of the massive Bolong Road facility.

However, the new-look Albo wasn't impressed on arrival when all the high-vis vests were extra large sizes, in the end swapping for a large size with one of the women present.
Yes, we covered all the usual topics - the "foreign policy debacle" in the Solomon Islands, the China issue, turning back the boats, the first debate results and NDIS.
Mr Albanese was keen to talk up Labor's National Reconstruction Fund, aimed at supporting "existing industries but also new industries to grow", especially after the pandemic.
"It's great to be back at Manildra, this is my third or fourth visit in recent years," he said.
"This is a fantastic story - a great Australian story of what Australian businesses can do."
He said the family owned company, which has some 700 workers, produces goods not just for domestic consumption but also for export.
"Seventy per cent of the products here are exported overseas, particularly to the Americas," he said.
"This is a great success story - it shows what can be done.
"It's why we need a future made in Australia. We need to back Australian manufacturing and Australian jobs.
"Arising out of the pandemic we need to build back stronger."
He said Labor's National Reconstruction Fund would support existing industries but also new industries to grow.
"We'll build those jobs by having fee free TAFE, by having additional university places," he said.
"This is part of our agenda for growth into the future.
"An agenda that's about using clean energy, an agenda that's about building better infrastructure, about fixing the national broadband network, about investing in Australian manufacturing and Australian jobs."
He said even investing in cheaper childcare boosts the economy, "by boosting productivity and boosting the workforce".
Yes, he fired a shot at the Prime Minister saying "when the people of Gilmore needed Scott Miorrison he went missing".
"When Scott Morrison needs Gilmore he turns up," he said.
"He only turns up for his own interests, he doesn't turn up in the interest of the people of Gilmore."
Mrs Phillips said Manildra's Shoalhaven Starches was one of the most magnificent employers in the region.
"This is an area I grew up in and I'm proud to say I grew up with many of the workers in this plant," she said.
"It is so important for our local area to have good local jobs. That's what I support as the Federal Member for Gilmore and it's what I will fight for every single day.
"I will stand here every single day supporting local workers, supporting our community through these hard times."
The group also later toured a local aged care facility in Nowra.
