Residents in the neighboring Caswell Street raised concerns about the proximity of the helipad to nearby houses. They were able to voice their concern at a meet and greet between neighbours and NSW Health Infrastructure on February 24.
At the community consultation session regarding the new $260 million new hospital in Moruya RSL Memorial hall on March 18, senior project developer with health infrastructure Matthew Malone said NSW Health was "in the process of responding" to community feedback regarding the location of the helicopter landing pad.
He said the process was not as simple as simply picking the helipad up off the plan and relocating it somewhere else. He said it had a flow on effect on services provided.
"It has a cascading effect on other services in the site," he said.

Mr Malone said the planning of the new hospital was an incredibly complex process incorporating many factors, and he said this included residents.
"Absolutely residents have been considered [in the planning process]," he said.
"We need to demonstrate that the local community has been considered as part of that process, and that is part of the Environmental Impact Statement that is due to be made publicly available in the middle of the year.
"We need to appropriately assess acoustic effects of the new facility."
Mr Malone said the exact location of the helipad would be confirmed in April.
