A teenager has been arrested and charged with a string of dangerous driving offences relating to a serious crash in Moruya last August.

According to NSW Police, a Holden Commodore was allegedly stolen from an address on Vulcan Street, Moruya, just before 10pm on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
Shortly after the alleged theft, officers from the South Coast Police District attempted to stop the vehicle after observing it being driven in an allegedly dangerous manner, however the driver allegedly failed to stop and drove away from the scene.
Officers later attended a single-vehicle crash in Murray Street, Moruya.
The driver - a man aged 18 at the time - and his 14-year-old passenger were removed from the vehicle by members of the public and treated by paramedics.
The younger boy suffered a fractured femur and was taken to Moruya Hospital before being airlifted to Canberra for further treatment.
The older man was arrested and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
The vehicle was seized by police at the time for further examination.
Following further investigations by the Crash Investigation Unit, a 19-year-old man was arrested on Vulcan Street, Moruya, on Wednesday, January 5.
He was taken to Batemans Bay Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter, stealing a motor vehicle, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, destroying or damaging property, mid-range drink driving, driving with a suspended licence, driving without a seatbelt, driving with a person under the age of 16 without a seatbelt, and taking and driving a conveyance without consent of the owner.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear in Moruya Local Court on Friday, Jaunary 14.
