The three units combined their resources and hit the water at the Moruya River.
A Moruya SES spokesperson said they mixed teams which helped put faces to names of colleagues in other units.
The crews learned new things such as driving with trailers and operating boats.
"Fantastic fun was had by all," Moruya SES shared on Facebook.
"Thanks to Batemans Bay and Bermagui Units for coming along!"
They said plans were already underway for their next boating exercise.
