The Bega Valley has recorded its first positive COVID-19 cases in almost a month with three people reported in the 24 hours to 8pm Thursday, November 4.

As reported on Thursday, two cases were detected on Thursday causing the precautionary closure of Shorebreakers Preschool in Pambula.
Southern NSW Local Health District have now confirmed those cases in the latest figures, with one of the two Pambula cases linked to a known case.
The third is in Candelo and under investigation as to its source.
There were also two additional cases recorded in Karabar, taking the total recorded in the Southern NSW Local Health District to 484 since the start of the current outbreak in June.
SNSWLHD is urging community members to continue to come forward for vaccination and to be alert for any symptoms that could signal COVID-19, including headache, nausea, sore throat, runny nose, cough, loss of smell or taste, or fever.
If symptoms appear, people must isolate and get tested immediately, and remain isolated until a negative result is received.
Bega Valley residents can access free drive through testing at the Old Bega Racecourse, corner Jacksonia Grove and East St, Bega NSW. To access the testing clinic, vehicles need to enter from Auckland St, turn right onto Jacksonia Grove moving towards the corner of East St. Traffic control is in place.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday 8am to 2pm and weekends 9am to 2pm.
