After all eight of its teams finished in the top four of their respective divisions last season - two of whom went on to win premierships - the Batemans Bay Cricket Club is hoping for big things in the lead-up to 2021/22.

Club secretary, Steve Tuckwell, said the club knows a similar result is possible in the coming season as they have retained most of their players.
The only challenge for the teams, with less than a month to the first round, is the lack of proper training sessions due to the COVID-19 lockdowns.
"It's been very difficult," Tuckwell said.
"We really have not been able to train. Shoalhaven Cricket, they have been operating from guidelines coming from Cricket NSW and have not allowed open training sessions.
"So people have only been able to train in small groups of three or four at a time, which is not a great lead-in to the season."
Despite the lack of training, one thing was made clear following the club's success in 2020/21: there are quality players emerging in all age groups.
This, Tuckwell believes, is a result of the hard work done by the coaches in the junior ranks.
"We had a number of juniors who have been coached very well in the last few years, who have begun working their way up the age groups," he said.
"The effort that our junior coaches and coordinators have put in has really paid off for us.
"It's flowing from the Woolworths Cricket Blast upwards."
With the season slated to start on November 6, Tuckwell doesn't have to look beyond his own household to see the excitement for a long-awaited first round.
"My son is sixteen and one of our up-and-coming batsmen, he's just cracking to go," he said.
"He just wants to get back out there, and he can't wait for the season to start. I think most of our youngsters and the older guys who love playing are in the same boat.
"So many of them have been doing their own little training sessions in the nets. People are really looking forward to it."
Registrations are still open for the 2021/22 season, and can be completed here.
There is not yet a set date as to when training will commence, but the BBCC has promised to let its members know as soon as possible.
