Despite not being able to stage actual planned services, Officer in Charge of Nowra Police Station, Inspector Ray Stynes said police across the region would pause to remember their fallen colleagues.
"COVID might have cruelled our plans again this year but it doesn't mean we won't remember our fallen brothers and sisters," Inspector Stynes said.
Across the state 275 officers from the NSW Police Force have died while serving the community.

"Officers will be taking time to reflect on those colleagues who have been lost," he said.
"And even more so in these trying times of back to back to back emergencies and major incidents.
"It has been a stressful time, not only for the community, but police as well.
"While we might wear the blue shirt at work, we are still members of our community and have the same struggles in community as well as being at work.
"National Police Remembrance Day is a day to remember all those who have gone before us and have unfortunately passed and to remind ourselves of their endeavours and what they have done as part of our communities and our police force."
Locally in the Shoalhaven and across the greater Southern Region, numerous multi-denominational services are held each year and are an integral part of the annual NSW Police calendar.
"Hopefully we will be able to hold services again next year," Insp Stynes said.
Minister for Police and Emergency Services, David Elliott, said police play such a crucial role in society.
"It is a sad day to lose a serving member of the NSW Police Force because our officers go to work each day not knowing if they might come home," Mr Elliott said.
"We pay tribute to all the officers we have lost; we thank you and know that you will never be forgotten. For the officers who continue to serve our community, especially during the past almost two years supporting our country through the pandemic, your efforts are extraordinary.
"We also remember 16 service members of the NSW Police Force who have died during the period September 29, 2020 to September 28, 2021 from illness or other circumstance."
