Scott Anthony Lincoln, 51, of Rosedale, did not appear during a mention of his matter in Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday, but pleaded guilty to charges of enhanced indoor cultivation of a prohibited plant and possessing a prohibited drug.
According to police facts tendered to the court by the police prosecutor, police officers searched Mr Lincoln's Rosedale home on July 21.
The facts state Mr Lincoln returned home during the search where he made full admissions to possessing marijuana and having a hydroponic setup growing cannabis in his master bedroom, but was adamant all cannabis was for his personal use only.
Mr Lincoln is not facing any drug supply charges.
Police found two "grow tents" in the master bedroom according to the facts, one with 26 small cannabis plants and the other with 23 mature cannabis plants with a minimum street value of $98,000.
The facts also state there was evidence that children had been in the master bedroom with the hydroponic setup.
Mr Lincoln's lawyer told Magistrate Doug Dick he would be seeking an intensive corrections order on the charges.
"He's been charged with possession of a specific amount of cannabis, but there are no specifics in the facts," the lawyer said.
"My instructions are it was in the bedroom and on the table in the loungeroom, but I think the police need to clarify exactly where everything was found."
Magistrate Dick agreed with Mr Lincoln's lawyer, but adjourned the matter one week for sentence.
"I have no issues with an intensive corrections order," Magistrate Dick said. "I just need him to be in front of the court to impose one so he can sign all the relevant paperwork."
Mr Lincoln will appear in Batemans Bay Court for sentence on September 27.
