The district, which includes residents in the Goulburn, Snowy Monaro, Queanbeyan, Bega Valley and Eurobodalla shires, showed up in droves with 2130 tests conducted on Friday, August 13.
This was up 133 per cent on the previous day, with 907 tests conducted on Thursday, August 12.
Over the weekend, testing numbers remained high as regional NSW was sent into a snap lockdown on Saturday afternoon.
There were 1804 tests done on Saturday, August 14 and 1233 on Sunday, August 15.
In Batemans Bay, a pop-up testing clinic was set up at Hanging Rock, open from 8am to 2pm Monday to Sunday.
A list of all testing clinics in the district is available on the SNSWLHD website.
The community was asked to please be patient as testing demand sees long waiting times at sites.
People can pre-register for a COVID-19 test by calling 1800 318 248 or through the online enquiry form.
